Feeding Instructions

Start feeding before horn flies appear and continue use until cold weather marks the end of the horn fly season. Allow free choice to cattle. Cattle should consume 34 mg of (S)-Methoprene per 100 lbs of animal body weight per month to achieve horn fly control. This is equivalent to an average of 1.6 oz. of Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief per 100 lbs. of animal body weight per day, which is equivalent to 16 oz. per day for a 1,000 pound animal. To Open: Remove top protective sheet. 1. Assure cattle are not starved for nutrients prior to feeding Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub. 2. Offer cattle one Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub for every 15 to 25 head of cattle. 3. Remove all other self limiting nutritional supplements. 4. Locate Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub where cattle congregate (watering, loafing, shade areas). 5. Replenish Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub on a regular basis as needed. 6. If intake of Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub is below 1.6 ounces per 100 pounds animal body weight per day, increase the number of feeding locations and/or change location(s) to areas more frequented by cattle. 7. If intake of Thermo-Lix 16% Fly Relief Tub is above 1.6 ounces per 100 pounds animal body weight per day, reduce the number of feeding locations and/or change location(s) to areas less frequented by cattle. 8. Introduction of this product after adult horn fly infestation is established will require treatment of cattle with adulticides if elimination of the adult fly population is desired.
